When I was a kid, my grandma who I called DeeDee because she would dance & sing in the kitchen, would make cinnamon rolls. they were very simple, no frosting (just how I like them), fluffy, delicious, & were topped with a few raisins. She would wrap them up in used bread bags. I’ve had this memory replaying a lot in my head recently, so I drew it out.

Not only is this piece inspired by imagination, pure fun, and the activities we did outside growing up, but is a reflection on how times have changed.
